PCACS is a distribution site for the Food Bank of NWI, which is a food relief organization in Northwest Indiana.

As a distribution site, our team assists with the Commodity Supplemental Food Programs, which is federally funded to assist with improving the health of seniors ages 60 and over by offering monthly boxes of food. Each month, participants will receive 30 to 40 pounds of food that include grains, vegetables, fruit, high protein items, juice, shelf-stable milk and a block of cheese.

To participate, seniors need to meet age, residential and income guidelines and meet with our team for a certification interview.

Income guidelines include:

  • Household size of 1: $1,632/month

  • Household size of 2: $2,215/month

  • Household size of 3: $2,798/month

To determine your eligibility for the program, please compete the application below and bring it to PCACS with a picture ID and proof of income. Interested individuals can contact us for more information at 219-464-9736.

Once community members are part of the program, they will be notified when food boxes have arrived each month and the boxes will need to be picked up at our offices.

Pickup is set for the second Tuesday of the month between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
